Guidelines

• The proposed project should have a long-term impact rather than just an immediate effect

• The project could be based on any category of human development work including, but not limited to, human rights, social entrepreneurship, healthcare delivery, environmental safety, and basic education. Projects based on underserved human rights issues may get favorable consideration.

• The project should have sustainable growth potential and scalability

• Projects impacting a large number of people as opposed to a small group will be preferred

• Demonstrated expertise in implementing similar projects will be a key selection factor.

• Projects involving collaborative effort are encouraged.

• Projects will be provided loans (12% simple interest p.a.) of up to US$ 5000, rather than grants; payable over 24 months. Requests for additional amounts will be evaluated on an individual basis

Eligibility

Any small scale Bangladeshi business is eligible to submit their business proposal and investment needs. Preference will be given to existing businesses, however compelling ideas for new ventures may also be considered.
