Drishtipat is formed as an Internet based activist organization of the expatriate Bangladeshis for providing assistance to the victims of human rights violation in Bangladesh. The mission of Drishtipat is to be very proactive in creating a mass awareness in Bangladeshi community, causing a pressure on the authorities and to provide logistic support to help and/or rehabilitate the victims of a specific case of human rights abuse. Drishtipat's goals are as follows: 1. Highlight specific incidents of alleged human rights abuse through its website and listserver 2. Mobilise public opinion and campaigns to protest against such human rights abuses; 3. Undertake advocacy campaigns to ensure appropriate responses from the state authorities including effective steps to prevent such abuses, or to prosecute or punish those responsible; and 4. Raise funds, if needed, for survivors of human rights abuses, for proper treatment.

Drishtipat is a group of enthusiasts who are professionals at day time and actvists and workers of change for Bangladesh during their free time. We do 2/3 projects every year with help in implementation from Dhaka based organizations. However we keep a vigilant eye through out the year on human rights issues and make people aware on the abuses and issues that violates the Bangladeshis' fundamental rights as human.
