The majority of DP Canada core members reside in Toronto, hence our meetings and events are more concentrated within the GTA. But nevertheless, there may be a possibility of expansion into other province or city based chapters, if sufficient interest is demonstrated.

Sameen, currently working as an engineer, intends to give back to her community through her development initiatives! Drishtipat found Sameen a few years ago when she posted a very insignificant (or so she thought!) piece of writing on her blog, mostly admonishing the modern teens of Bangladesh about their ignorance and carelessness about deshi pride. Since then, Sameen has been a dedicated volunteer for Drishtipat, and has continued to enjoy working towards a better Bangladesh, with an amazing group of people. |

Tania, a recent graduate of her George Brown Community Worker diploma, is also currently pursuing her BSW at Ryerson University Toronto. As an activist, she continuoulsy tries to stay involved with various efforts in and around the community. Most of her areas of work include the youth, student rights, the marginalised and South East Asian communities. Her ambitions aspire to be someday part of the international relief state - majorly focusing on race and poverty. In positively contributing towards social movements in Bangladesh, DP Canada definitely strengthens this platform of hope and life's motivation for Tania. |
