About Drishtipat Canada

Drishtipat is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization, consisting mainly of expatriate Bangladeshis. We are the Canadian chapter of Drishtipat.

DP Canada's target, like that of other chapters around the world, is to promote and protect the basic human rights of the people of Bangladesh. Our aim is not simply to help those who are less fortunate, but to empower the nation of Bangladeshis as a whole towards becoming future leaders.

DP Canada was initiated in the fall of 2005, and has since been working actively towards its goal of seeing a 'Better Bangladesh'. If you are interested in finding out more about our chapter, or would like to attend a meeting, or volunteer with us then please drop us a line.



Amio Bolte Chai

Drishtipat Canada is launching a youth oriented project Amio Bolte Chai. This project involves organizing youth workshops in Bangladesh to raise awareness among youth between the ages of 16-20 about human rights and social injustice issues. The workshops will work as catalysts towards preparing future changemakers and will provide a platform for the young people of Bangladesh to speak and be heard.

First workshop to be held on November 9, 2007 @ auditorium of Sylhet International University, Shamimabad, Bagbari, Sylhet. Stay tuned for details!

Drishtipat Canada is proud to present the Toronto Premier of Deshantori

Where: Sidney Smith Hall (Room 2117), 100 St George St, University of Toronto (TTC: Get off at St George and walk south. Or, get off at Spadina and take Southbound street car to the stop after Harbord)
