The most urgent need in Pakistan is to provide temporary shelter from rain and cold to those people who have lost their homes. A huge number of tents are needed to do so as 3.3 Million people (UNO) are displaced due to the earthquake. Sears is selling a tent under $100 that can accommodates 6-8 people and is sufficient for a family.
Pakistan International Airline has agreed to carry and deliver these tents to Government Rescue Center set-up in Islamabad for FREE. They will also pick the tents from Sears Store # 1544, 9605 Queens Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374 which is very close to the JFK airport.This way there is no shipping cost involved.
If any one interested in donating the tent, this is the best way to do it:
1. Log on to The Sears Website
2. Click on Gift Registry
3. Click on Buy Gift
4. Select "Special Occasion"
5. Enter pass word " Meena Siddiqui"
6. Select Month "11" and year 2005
7. Click on "Find Registry"
8. Click on Add to gift cart.
9. Click on 'In Store Delivery" and select the Rego Park store # 1544.
10. Fill in your payment information, print a copy for record and you are done.
