Bangladesh: Man returns from Guantánamo to police interrogation
Miami Herald staff and wire reports
”We are interrogating him,” Tahera Banu, an official of the airport police station in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka, told The Associated Press by telephone.

The announcement in Dhaka comes amid a series of larger U.S. transfers from the remote U.S. Navy base in southeast Cuba — seven to Afghanistan yesterday and 16 to Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Pentagon officials appear to be thinning the captive population as the clock ticks toward the fifth anniversary of the first arrivals of detainees brought to Cuba from Bagram, Afghanistan on Jan. 11, 2002.
