There are a lot of worry around that Bangladesh is becoming Afghanistan and Bangladeshis definitely take the remarks as very offending to Bangladesh.
However with the recent renewal of consistent post independence Bangladesh sporting debacle, Afghans may take it demeaning to be compared to Bangladesh at least when sports is considered.
Here is a table taken from the daily Star which shows the medal standing of this SA games and the ranking tally of all the SAF games.

will seem out of context yet I like to say here,
I was a teen-age organizer of liberation war being in the village, leaving away my studies
in Dhaka college recruiting and helping Muktibahini and the rufugees in the transit camps in their way to Agartala. The way I worked in the Election campaign for Awami League/Sheik Mujib in 1970 and during as teen-ager I assertedly claim it’s beyond belief and unprecedented.
But I have been in continued 35-year long shock witnessing how the how the country is progressing and how the country is being run and ruled.
When I try to say the truth I feel and criticize the wrong doings people say I’m razaker. I never mind. If some body curses
me for my being truthfu I feel proud of it.
Our artist icon painted Ershad as a
Bishwa-Behaya. But we never think as a nation/country we now became the top most Bishwa-Behaya.
Now when see the two major parties are trying their utmost and perhaps give shinni to Ajmeer sharif or Shahjalal Dargah so that Ershad allaince with them, how would that late artist should have painted our nation. Would that have been immoral if he used to paint Bangladesh, a nation of Bishwa-behaya.
We don’t hate to tell lie and do it every moment and call other liars. We don’t look at our shape, size, and physique and call others ugly.
we hamelessly take false pride in ourselves. We don’t want to correct ourselves. we just to love bragging about what we are not.
If we look at the data on the table posted we can see cleary based on population Srilanka did the best despite the country is war-torn by civil war.
Just 2-3 years back one gentleman commented once
saying Pakistanis are the most corrupted peolpe. And when I protested I was told razaker. I told him not to say that for now
at least as for consecutive 2-3 years we are world’s most corrupted nation in the world book. I reminded the fact and he was angry with me.
This is the example how shameless we are. Being shameful in some situation is a very good human quality and helps rectification and averting more emabarrassing situation.
We must need to find out our follies and rectify ourselves if we want to do something good and be respectful in the eyes of others.
Thanks.

I respect your deeds and love for the nation Mr Abuusa.

spineless.
