No offense but this dude is a well known Zionist agent. Of course this does not give the state deny his right to leave the country. But he is a bit of a dodgy character. So there is more than what meets the eye in this case.

I am all for a friendly relationship with Jews on an individual basis, but as long as there exists a fascist-Zionist stranglehold on Israel, and as long as these fascists treat Palestinians like animals, it’s a no go area for me. The situation with Palestinians is dire in most places in Israel.
I am interested to know what Mr. Choudary thinks of this situation and what he has to say to the fascist-Zionists.

It’s this guys freind, Richard L. Benkin that the government hired to lobby for them for $5,000/month in the U.S.
Explain that!

This Salahuddin Shoaib Choudhury issue is one of the mystery I have no clue of.
As Rubel ,metioned in his blogs also, it is a big big puzzle. Now the Benkin guy made it more complex and more puzzling.
What is the helpline? I800-Hawa Bhavan?

Pro-peace? Not by a long shot. Read this article as a wee taster of his views http://web.israelinsider.com/Views/5794.htm
But do read it carefully. It is not that rabid but the sub-text shines through…as for example when he says “PLO and other terrorist organisations.”
Internationally known journalist? Only because this crackpot BNP government arrested him and threw him in gaol. He now appears in Human Rights Reports concerning Bangladesh etc. I would love to know his views about the human rights of Palestinians.

To top it all he was a mouthpiece of Daily Inquilab during the Ershad/BNP era of the 90s. From Islamic fundamentalism he had a sudden switch to Zionist chatterbox.

Wow! from Inqilab mouthpiece to Israeli mouthpiece, how bigger a idealogical swing can a man take?
It makes me weak in the knees!
This is like Nizami becoming the head of Communist Party of Bangladesh!

Yes I recall his Inqilab connection.
On a socond thought ( I sometimes have a second thought on many things:)), he is demystifying to me now.
My hypothesis, A typical bangladeshi fortune seeker, a little crook, a little smart, may be some connection.
First started with Inqilab, found that competition is a bit hard here. May be ambitious. Found out that the Israeli lobby in Bangladesh is quite unfilled. Probably Inqilab gave him the step stone to catch the attention some MOSAD head hunters. Then the next phase we all know of by now. But this smart ass apparently could not save the end.
What do you think? Crap theory?
April 20th, 2006 at 4:49 pm
Interesting theory. But I don’t think that this is the end. The final chapter has yet to be written. He is probably hoping that the US or another western country will grant him asylum.

I agree with Rahat. I think clearly some U.S politicians have been lobbying for his release. If he can get out of the country, he will be very welcome in many places. That might be his end game at this point. Nothing else really worked out for him anyways.

No palls, you all prove to be living in fool’s paradise. You all are simply stupids and piece of shit. This gentleman never worked with Inqilab since 1990. You have a bad or corrupt information bank. He joined Inqilab in 2001 and left that institution in 2002. As a working journalist he had no option but to join Inqilab as Awami League was almost ready to do everything to screw him up with state hostility. Mr. Choudhury was imprisoned for 15 months by Awami League with the allegation of conspiring to kill former Prime Minister Her Sheikh Hasina along with her 31 close aides. Isn’t it ridiculous? Now, BNp government labels him as agent of Israel. It clearly shows that this gentleman has no favor from any of the government, just because he has a mighty and unbiased pen. He was not purchased by any vasted quarters. He is a true patriot and a proud son of the soil. Ohhh… regarding political asylum? I think he would have already sought political asylum in the West, if he wanted already. He is not leaving Bangladesh. Rather running two most powerful newspapers, courageously. You stupids read his news paper by visiting http://www.weeklyblitz.net

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but there are some new developments in this case, so I decided to run down some of Shoaib Choudhury’s connections. You can read it here (warning, its a long post):
