We were pleasantly surprised by the way the Appellate Division decided to take a pro active role and issued a show cause notice on the Chief Election Commission as to why he should not be held in contempt of the court. There was a palpable silence in the Court right after the ruling as everyone was trying to comprehend the gravity and implications of the show cause notice. The fact that the Chief Election Commissioner is a currently also a judge of the very court that issued the show cause notice makes the matter all the more intriguing. It seems that the Hon’ble Justice Mr. M.A. Aziz has managed to embroil himself in yet another controversy.

The big question is will he call sick again? :)
