Udichi office had been targetted this time. Our outrage knows no bounds

Dec 08, ‘05, Reuters reports:

“Definitely our activists are targets, because we try to reform the society for greater emancipation of the people,” Mahmud Selim, general secretary of the national committee of Udichi, a left-leaning cultural organization, told Reuters.
Ten people were killed and over 50 were injured when a bomb exploded at an open-air concert of Udichi in western Jessore town in March 1999.
Many Islamic groups dislike Udichi, which organizes open-air shows of drama, music and poetry recitals. It pursues a strong secular philosophy.

The picture is from an Udichi function. This is the face of the Udichi that the bombers targetted, again.

Even kids! Read the breaking news of other incidents.

After the threat of banned Islamist outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to blow off the Nilphamari Government Boys High School and Chilahati Merchant High School, two kids were injured when a bomb exploded at the Boarding Para area of Nilphamari town Thursday morning. The injured were identified as Rezaul Islam (7), son of Dulal Hossain and Raihan Hossain Moon (8), son of Mosharraf Hossain.

and no surprise: (CNN) —

Authorities believe all the incidents, including Thursday’s, are linked to the banned Islamic militant group Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh (JMB) — a group, police say, has a suicide squad of 2,000 members.

So as responsible policy-makers and leaders of the nation, let’s make sure the perpetrators don’t run out of funds!

BBC reports:

“It was a terrible sight. People were screaming in pain all around,” the Associated Press quotes a local journalist, Shymolendu Pal, as saying.

Seriously, just how many more INNOCENT people will need to die, before something constructive is done, aside from this blame-game, name-calling, mud-slinging mockery of politics and governance?
