Drishtipat is a non-profit, non-partisan volunteer organization, composed of students and young professionals worldwide, committed to safeguarding human rights in Bangladesh through action-oriented projects that provide direct assistance to those individuals whose voices remain unheard today. Drishtipat-Australia is based in Canberra, the nation's capital and it plans to expand in other parts of Australia in near future. We hope to create a powerful and passionate platform for Bangladeshi expatriates living in the Oceania region to engage in human rights activism.
 
Fund-raising Program for Children with Disabilities

Drishtipat Australia is organising a community event to support an education and training program for the children with disabilities in Bangladesh. Current statistics indicate that there are more than 1,20,00,000 people with disabilities living in communities throughout Bangladesh who currently receive little or no assistance [source: Center for Services and Information on Disability ]. In nearly all cases their families and communities leave out people with disabilities from the development process and children with disabilities are deprived of basic education.

When: Saturday, 16 September from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Program: Cultural Program, A Simple Dinner, Bengali Film : Begum Rokeya

Ticket Price: $20.00 per person or $50 for family
