A New hope for AP villagers belonging to minority communities (Part 1B)

- From Our Dhaka Contact

(No real names for the victims have been used in this article.)

We then moved to another site known as Gunamoni Daser Bari, founder of Gunamoni Bazar and the school where two houses have been constructed. The owners are:

1. Subhashish and his wife

2. Mohindra – Shuborna Couple.

The land was offered by Dipak Das and his brother Milan Kanti Das. Subhashish and wife are day labourer (Meghna) – both work at the agricultural fields as Kshet Majurs. Mohindra – Shuborna Couple are not in a better position.  The couple with their two daughters maintained their livelihood as Kshet majurs.

It may be recalled that Shuborna lost her ijjat (honour) in the same manner as other girls of AP lost in that dreadful night. We then went forward to a site at Lalit Mohan Daser Bari in the village, also known as Gangacharaner Bari where lives Rupali-Ashish couple about a mile away from GM Bazar. This constitutes the story of Part IC.
